Building Tomorrow's Champions today!

About
TC Aquatics
TC Aquatics is more than a swim club. We’re a coaching family dedicated to helping young swimmers grow into strong, capable, resilient people.

Founded by father-daughter duo, Terence and Chloë Reid, TC stands for more than just their names. It stands for Tomorrow’s Champions; the swimmers we’re patiently, purposefully building one lap at a time.

We believe in smart, balanced training, strong foundations over fast shortcuts and developing swimmers who peak at the right time and love the sport for life.

What we believe:

  • Great swimmers are built, not rushed.
  • Winning too young often comes at a cost.
  • Technique matters more than brute force.
  • Every child deserves to train in an environment that supports their well-being, confidence, and long-term success.

We coach with three core values:

  1. Grit: the courage to show up, especially on the hard days.
  2. Grace: treating others (and ourselves) with respect and humility.
  3. Greatness: not just in speed, but in attitude, effort and heart.

Who we coach:

We welcome swimmers of all levels. From beginners just finding their feet, to competitive athletes chasing personal bests and beyond.

EGA affiliation:

TC Aquatics is proudly affiliated with Eastern Gauteng Aquatics (EGA), ensuring our swimmers compete within an accredited structure and have access to officially sanctioned galas and development pathways.

Coaching with purpose, passion, and a plan!

Terence Reid

Head Coach - Senior Swimmers

With years of experience and a deep love for the sport, Coach T (as he is fondly known) is one of TC’s most technically focused coaches. He’s a qualified, seasoned swim coach with a sharp eye for stroke correction and a calm, steady presence on deck … most of the time. He’s worked alongside some of South Africa’s top coaching talent, and brings that expertise to every swimmer he trains. Coach T is passionate about helping swimmers refine their technique, improve efficiency, and build long-term strength in the water. He doesn’t believe in babying swimmers, and he’s been known to (lovingly) call out soft parenting with classics like: “The water’s not cold ... your kid's bath water is just too hot.” Coach T keeps it real and under his guidance, swimmers grow stronger, smarter, and more resilient, one lap at a time.

Chloë Reid

Head Coach - Junior Swimmers

Chloë is a passionate, qualified swim coach, national water polo player and lifeguard who brings energy, experience and no-nonsense dedication to the pool deck. A former competitive swimmer who trained under Rocco Meiring (coach of Olympic medallist Tatjana Smith), she now channels that same drive into shaping the next generation of swimmers. She’s spirited, sharp, and absolutely allergic to time-wasting and the kids love her for it. Chloë is fiercely committed to each swimmer’s growth, pushing them to train with focus, respect, and heart. Under her watch, there’s no messing around; just purposeful work, personal attention, and powerful results. "You’re not here to float. You’re here to swim.” - Coach Chloë

We don’t just build swimmers - we raise Tomorrow’s Champions!
